The brief
Explain social licence, data sovereignty and ethical data sharing to two very different audiences — the public and corporate custodians — without diluting either.
Our approach
- Designed the Trusted Data website as the anchor for the national conversation.
- Built the Data Wheel — a strategic self-assessment tool letting organisations benchmark themselves as responsible data custodians.
- Produced spoken-word animations, short videos and an interactive game to translate abstract data concepts into everyday language.
Impact
- A dual-audience content system serving public and corporate readers
- A reusable Data Wheel framework adopted by NZ organisations
- Positioned the Partnership as a trusted, plain-English voice on data policy
Outcome: Turned a technical policy conversation into an accessible, shareable national one, on the terms of everyday New Zealanders.
